The Monmouthshire Business Awards reflect the very best of regional business excellence. Here’s what a selection of our media partners, sponsors, past winners and judges have to say about us.
“Monmouth Business Awards has become one of the pre-eminent business awards in Wales and attracts innovative growing companies to enter each of the award categories. More SMEs should consider entering these awards in 2016 as it is an exceptional chance for businesses to raise their profile in the Welsh market and winning an award is a recognition of success both for the company management and also the hard working team of people that make the businesses successful. Well done to Janet Harris for organising such a professional and value added event which puts businesses in Monmouthshire clearly on the map”.“The 2015 Monmouth Business Award dinner was the best so far, attracting many companies, investors and professional advisors to join together to celebrate success in the SME business sector. This is a ‘not-to-be-missed’ business award event that should be in everyone’s business diaries for 2016”.
Just wanted to say thanks again for inviting me last Friday. It was definitely the best awards ‘doo’ I’ve been to – helped of course by the glorious victories! Even my alarm at 4.30am couldn’t dampen my spirits…..

We were absolutely delighted to win both Company of the Year and Judges Choice Award at the Monmouthshire Business Awards 2015. It’s fantastic to be acknowledged for the hard work that we do and to pass that recognition onto our staff. Our success in the Mon Biz Awards this year, and in previous years, has not only raised the profile of REID Lifting withinMonmouthshire, but has driven us to keep on striving to improve. A fantastic event and a much-needed platform for businesses within Monmouthshire to proudly showcase what we’re capable of.

Working with the MBA team was a pleasure. The organisation was excellent, the interviews and video were straightforward and the fact Homeglow won two awards really made the event a huge success for us! It is still newsworthy and we are using our success in our advertising and letterheads and business cards as well as our website. We hope the MBAs continue to be a big success in raising the importance of local businesses and their contribution to the prosperity of the county and its environs.

I was overwhelmed with being awarded the ‘Young Entrepreneur’ award. We were privileged to be a part of such a well organised, prestigious event and I will most definitely be looking to enter the awards again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole event, and the cherry on the cake ‘winning’ !!! We have already received an enquiry for us to dress a wedding for one of the companies attending who were impressed with our work.

At the Monmouthshire Business Awards in 2012, I entered two categories Young Entrepreneur of theYear, and Innovation in Business. Whilst I was confident in entering the Young Entrepreneur category, as I founded and manage my business day to day. Initially I was little nervous about entering the Innovation in Business Category, as I manage what is on paper a small company, however we punch well above our weight, and I was anxious about going head to head with some of the seemingly vast companies that were competing alongside me. Nevertheless, I took the opportunity of entering this excellent competition. I was so delighted to be shortlisted in both categories, alongside some impressive businesses and won the Young Entrepreneur award! I would urge anyone considering entering the Monmouthshire Business Awards to go for it. It is not a size contest, it’s about so much more and the award evening is a real celebration of all businesses in Wales. I wish you the best of luck with your application – go for it!
Emily Web – Founder of Oarsome Potential – Winner of Young Entrepreneur 2012
I was thrilled to be nominated for the new business start-up category by one of our customers for the 2012 Awards. The whole thing has been a fantastic experience, and we have seen an upturn in business as a result, especially locally. It’s a very professionally-run Awards and to anyone thinking of entering it’d say ‘Go for it!’ It’s a fantastic experience and you’ve got nothing to lose.
Brad Goodfellow – Managing Director, Pioneer Aircraft, the winner of Most Promising Business start-up 2012
Winning these awards is about the public recognition, being part of the community and the community then recognising our value and being a part of it going forward. Awards processes can sometimes be bureaucratic but the Monmouthshire Business Awards was simple and straight forward, and the amount of help you got was quite frankly the best I’ve ever seen. The Award evening itself was a great event, superbly organised and fun. Getting up on stage and receiving a locally based award was the pinnacle for us as a company. Winning two awards was a great honour for us, it helped us to increase our marketing profile, we used it on our website, we tweeted about it and it was in the local papers too, and for our employees themselves we put it in our reception areas so that they were aware of what we had achieved. What I would say to anyone thinking of entering the Awards would be if you want to motivate your employees and increase your local profile these are the Awards you should be entering.
Nick Budd – Director of HR, Mabey Bridge. Winner of the Company Showing Exceptional Growth and Company of the Year 2012.
I’m delighted that we’re once again supporting the Monmouthshire Business Awards. Last year’s awards showcased the diversity of business talent and expertise that we have in this county. With our excellent communication links, proximity to the major centres of Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and beyond we are already an excellent location for business innovation. But Monmouthshire can also offer the support and expertise of Monmouthshire Enterprise and this together with the wealth of talent in the county makes for a wonderful opportunity for home grown and incoming enterprises. I’m sure this year’s awards will showcase that and surpass the already high standards set by last year’s.
